When Kylian Mbappé takes to the field tonight, fans and players alike, especially those in red, will be thinking of the Frenchman’s words after his side’s 1-0 defeat in the first leg.
A German journalist wanted to know which team would be favourites in the second leg, to which Mbappé, without batting an eyelid, replied: “Paris Saint-Germain, always”.
Can PSG do it?
Messi and Co lost to Bayern in the first leg of the Champions League last-16 clash at the Parc des Princes and have it all to do tonight. Will they do it?
Coman does it again
Kingsley Coman netted the winner for Bayern against PSG in the first leg in what was his 50th UEFA Champions League appearance.
It's also the 39th time he's ended up on the winning side, the most wins by a player in their first 50 appearances in the competition's history.
After three wins in a row and the return of Kylian Mbappé, PSG travel to Germany hoping to turn the tie against Bayern around.
Just under a month ago, PSG had trouble on and off the pitch. The fans were furious and the future was looking far from optimistic.
With three consecutive victories in Ligue 1, the French club have seen a change in fortunes at the most decisive moment of the season. Christophe Galtier’s men travelled to Germany on Monday to prepare for Wednesday’s crucial match against Bayern.
Mbappé is in one of the best spells of his career and is hungry for titles. The French forward overtook Edinson Cavani on Saturday to become PSG’s all-time top scorer.
With 201 goals, he reached a record that looked almost impossible to match not so long ago. After a warm tribute from the Parc des Princes, Mbappé was adamant that they will be travelling to Germany to win the tie.
In the first leg in Paris, Mbappé was a substitute as he was not at 100 per cent, but his introduction turned the game around, scoring a goal that, although disallowed, struck fear into the Bayern defence.

Bayern win first leg in Paris
Bayern dominated the first half in Paris and Choupo-Moting and Kimmich could have put the Bavarians ahead. But they had to wait until the second half to open the scoring, when Kingsley Coman scored from an Alphonso Davies cross.
PSG came alive when Mbappé came on in the second half. The Frenchman, making his return from injury, had two goals disallowed. Nuno Mendes was offside in the buildup to Mbappé's second offside goal. Messi could have equalised late on, but his shot came off Pavard.
Pavard was then sent off for a second yellow and Bayern held onto their narrow lead and are now favourites to advance to the quarter-finals going into the second leg in Munich.
On Monday, Paris Saint-Germain confirmed that Neymar will be out of action for the next three to four months.
The Brazil international will undergo ligament repair surgery following several ankle problems in what is a blow for the French club.
