For PSG —who reached the showpiece event after dispatching Bayern Munich in a semifinal for the ages—this victory secures a historic back-to-back triumph, consolidating their era of dominance following their maiden title last year. Arsenal, on the other hand, missed out on clinching their first-ever place on the continental throne, falling at the final hurdle after a brilliant tournament run that included seeing off Atlético Madrid.

While the immense legacy and prestige of the triumph mean the most to the players and coaching staff, the victory also secures a highly lucrative, multimillion-dollar payout for the club’s board on a historic May 30 night in Budapest.

UEFA Champions League 2025/26 prize money breakdown

The clubs involved have been steadily swelling their coffers with UEFA’s performance-related prize money.

Teams that reached the round of 16 received $12 million. Reaching the quarterfinals was worth $13.4 million, while making the semifinals brought in $16.1 million for the four clubs.

Now those two teams, who represent the French and English capital cities respectively, will play in the final of the new-look Champions League, the runner-up receiving $19.9 million and the winner $26.8 million.
