The Mexican National Team have had disappointing performances in the preparation matches, beating Guatemala and rescuing a draw with Cameroon. Now, El Tri will focus on getting positive results in both the Concacaf Nations League and the Gold Cup, which will take place this summer.

Days before the battle against the United States, 10 players from the national team will leave the squad to report to their respective teams for pre-season ahead of the Apertura 2023. According to information from TUDN, striker Raúl Jiménez, as well as José Antonio Rodríguez, Néstor Araujo, Kevin Álvarez, Gilberto Sepúlveda, Roberto Alvarado, Salvador Reyes, Roberto Alvarado, Alan Cervantes, Diego Lainez and Roberto de la Rosa will all no longer be with the national team.

Which players will stay with the Mexico squad?

On the other hand, players such as Luis Malagón, Carlos Acevedo, Jorge Sánchez, Israel Reyes, Víctor Guzmán, Luis Romo, Carlos Rodríguez, Jesús Gallardo, Luis Chávez, Henry Martín, Uriel Antuna, Ozziel Herrera and Erick Sánchez will continue with the Mexican National Team for the two tournaments this summer.

It’s worth mentioning that manager Diego Cocca is already under incredible pressure in his role and as such, is practically forced to win the Nations League and the Gold Cup, but to do so he’ll have to get past the toughest teams in the Concacaf region.
