The 24-year-old midfielder arrived in Guadalajara yesterday and underwent a medical today before signing his contract.

In announcing the signing, the club emphasized both the sporting and emotional weight of the move:
“As part of the consolidation of Gabriel Milito’s project heading into the Apertura 2026 and the Leagues Cup, Club Guadalajara’s Sporting Department officially announces the arrival of Jordan Carrillo — a player who brings talent, youth, and creativity, and who now fulfills one of his biggest dreams: wearing the jersey of the club he loves.”
With Carrillo, Chivas add a premium attacking piece to strengthen a roster already built to contend on multiple fronts. The goal is clear: be a protagonist in Liga MX and the Leagues Cup.

Carrillo arrives after the best stretch of his career
The 22‑year‑old is coming off the strongest semester of his Liga MX career:
- 6 league goals
- 3 assists
- 3 goals in the Liguilla, where Pumas came agonizingly close to ending their 15‑year title drought
Pumas’ intention was to keep him, but Chivas moved quickly and decisively, sealing the deal for roughly $5 million USD.
Carrillo also brings international experience, having spent time on loan with Sporting Gijón in Spain in 2022.
What this means for Chivas
This is more than just a flashy signing — it’s a statement. Chivas are building a roster designed to compete immediately, and Carrillo’s creativity, versatility, and ability to break open matches make him a perfect fit for Milito’s system.
