The outpouring of praise and affection for Pelé and his family has been incredible. The legendary Brazilian soccer player left an important mark on and off the pitch and that is why his transcendence had the power to break borders around the globe. Pelé was a once in a lifetime talent and his departure will not be easy for all those who grew up admiring him.

Didier Deschamps, current coach of the France soccer team, added to the praise for ‘O Rei’.
