Just over three weeks before the start of the 2023 Women’s World Cup, the renowned company EA carried out its traditional simulation of the FIFA World Cup that will take place in Australia and New Zealand to predict the team that will conquer glory in this highly anticipated global tournament.

According to the simulation of the tournament’s 64 matches, the United States Women’s National Team (USWNT) will be crowned champions of this Women’s World Cup, marking their third consecutive title. It’s worth noting that they were crowned champions in the 2015 and 2019 World Cups, respectively.

In the simulation conducted in the FIFA 23 video game, the USWNT emerged victorious in the final, defeating Germany 4-2. This result would see Vlatko Andonovski’s team become World Champions once again.

It’s worth highlighting that in previous simulations conducted by EA, the company has correctly predicted the champions of the last four editions of the FIFA World Cup. The most recent was Argentina, preceded by France, Germany, and Spain as the previous men’s champions accurately predicted by the FIFA video game.

Here’s how the United States progresses toward the title in the FIFA 23 simulation:

The team, known as the Stars and Stripes, smoothly advances to the round of 16, where they face Sweden. In the simulation, they defeat Sweden 3-1 to secure a spot in the quarterfinals against Switzerland, whom they defeat 2-1.

In the semifinals, the USWNT faces Norway, defeating them 3-1, and eventually triumphs over the German team with a score of 4-2 in this simulation, as commonly carried out by EA Sports.

Lastly, it’s worth noting that the simulation of the 2023 Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand crowned Spanish player Alexia Putellas as the winner of the Golden Boot. She recorded six goals and two assists in the four matches simulated in the FIFA 23 video game for Spain in the tournament.
