Endrick prepares for life in Spain with language classes before Real Madrid move
The Brazilian has signed up to language classes in order to communicate with the Real Madrid players and to get to know the culture of the country.
Next summer Real Madrid will have a new number 9: Endrick. The Brazilian is playing his last season at Palmeiras, as next year he will land in the Spanish capital with the intention of earning a place in the first team during preseason.
In order to get as good a head-start as possible, the Brazilian has put himself in the hands of Sara Duque, a private teacher who is giving him language classes, as well as teaching him about the differences in culture that he will find in Spain compared to Brazil.
Language classes ‘fundamental’ for Endrick
In a video uploaded to Instagram, Endrick talks about how he is preparing for his arrival at the LaLiga side: “Working with Sara has been fundamental in my development as a player. Sara has guided me in understanding the challenges I will face in moving to a new league, both on and off the field. The best thing you can do as a player is invest in your personal development. I’m going to join a Spanish team and I have to understand English as the global language of the football community” says the attacker.
It is not the first time Sara Duque has helped South American players reach Europe: she also worked with Julián Álvarez, with positive results: “Not only has she helped me improve my skills in Spanish and English, but also to understand the cultural differences that I will find in Europe. This gives me an advantage to quickly adapt to the new language, lifestyle and football environment” Endrick also commented. The player will also have plenty of Brazilian help around the squad, as Rodrygo, Vinicius and Militão will all be there to guide the youngster.
Endrick comments on Real Madrid move
“I hate night clubs and I hate partying”, said the youngster, ”I prefer going to eat with my family. I don’t even like knowing how much I earn, I just want to play soccer. The player also opened up on which figures at Los Blancos insipire him and who in football he is looking to emulate: “Vinícius, Rodrygo, Haaland and Bellingham. They lead a new generation of players who are going to bring us lots of joy and do amazing things of the field”.
“What number I end up wearing is the least important thing”, he said. “I know what comes with wearing the Real Madrid jersey. It doesn’t matter what number I have at the start, I’ll put in the same amount of work. Vini started with 28, then 25, then 20 and now 7, which is a huge responsibility”.
