City will certainly be many people's favorites to lift the title this winter.
The recent treble winners have started the 2023/24 season with four wins from four in the Premier League. And that man Erling Haaland has, of course, been among the goals.
Club World Cup format to change in 2025
The 2025 FIFA Club World Cup will be the first played with 32 teams. FIFA announced in June that it will be played in the United States and it's expected to take place in June and July 2025.
When is the FIFA Club World Cup?
The tournament will take place between Tuesday, December 12 and Friday, December 22 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The draw for the FIFA Club World Cup 2023 is set.
The winner of Club León vs Urawa Reds will play Manchester City.
The winner of Al-Ittihad-Auckland vs Al Ahly will play the CONMEBOL winner.
The winner of Al-Ittihad and Auckland will play Al Ahly.
Urawa Red Diamonds are picked out next.
The second team out is Mexican outfit Club León. They won the CONCACAF Champions League.
The first team drawn out is Al Ahly - the CAF champions.
Club León and Manchester City are making their first appearances in the Club World Cup.
But one team is still to be determined. We have to wait for the CONMEBOL champions.
The Copa Libertadores final will take place on November 4 and we will then know who the seventh team will be for the tournament in December.

Auckland City won the Oceania Champions League and will face Saudi Arabian national champions Al-Ittihad in the first round of the tournament this winter.
Al-Ittihad have been recently boosted by the signings of experienced midfield duo N'Golo Kanté and Fabinho, and also Karim Benzema.
Reigning Club World Cup champions
Spanish giants Real Madrid are the reigning FIFA Club World Cup champions.
What is the FIFA Club World Cup?
The FIFA Club World Cup sees seven teams compete in the finals.
The teams involved are the winners of the top competition in each of the six populated continents.
The host nation’s national champions (Al-Ittihad) will also participate.
The European and South American champions will join the tournament at the semi-final stage.
"This event is a landmark moment, not just for Saudi Arabian football, but for the global game," the president of the Saudi FA continues.
The opening speech is quite lengthy. It will be another few minutes before we have the draw in Jeddah.

Favorites to win Club World Cup
Manchester City will be the favorites to win the Club World Cup in December.
The treble winners have been exceptional of late and will be confident of landing the trophy for the first time.
Al-Ittihad could also surprise a few, with Benzema, Kanté and Fabinho in their team.

Al Ahly are the Asian champions and are in today's draw taking place in Saudi Arabia.
What will the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup be like?
