Barca crowned champions of La Liga
The Blaugrana won their 29th title on Sunday night with their 2-0 win over Real Madrid. Marcus Rashford had a fantastic opener off of a set piece to put the home side up a goal to the good. Then it was Dani Olmo using a flick to set up Ferran Torres for the second goal 17 minutes in to the first half. That was enough to allow Barcelona to cruise to victory in El Clasico and lift the leauge title trophy.
It was a historic day for the Cules who take one step closer to leveling Real Madrid’s 36 league titles. It’s their second LaLiga title in a row and third in the last four years. With the win, they will not only add to their trophy cabinet, but they will also be rewarded with a large sum of money as an additional prize for their successful league campaign.
The prize money for the champions of LaLiga is determined by how money the league brings in with the the television rights every year. There is no defined, or set amount of money that is guaranteed to Barcelona but the reward will be in the tens of millions of dollars.
Big pay day coming for Barca
In the 2022-23, Barcelona was rumored to have made a little over €61 million ($72 million) for their title winning campaign. That was three years ago, and since then the cost of television rights have gone up. The price range, that has yet to be released is expected to be somewhere in the range of €60-€90 million euros ($70-$106 million).

Barcelona have been the recipients of the LaLiga title reward in three of the last four years and that will go a long way in paying for some of the construction costs of the newly renovated Camp Nou. The project which kept the Catalans out of their home stadium for over a year was valued at a billion and a half euros, so every penny of this prize money will count.
Barcelona will also get prize money from UEFA for their run in the Champions League and their Spanish Super Cup title, but their league title will be there biggest reward of the campaign. Last year the Premier League winners, Liverpool, were reportedly rewarded with £53.1 million ($71.1 million by today’s rate).
