How to watch Toluca vs San Diego FC CONCACAF Champions Cup round of 16 in the U.S. and Mexico
San Diego visit Toluca with a spot in the CONCACAF Champions Cup quarterfinals up for grabs. The MLS side come into this second leg up 3-2.

Toluca and San Diego FC meet in one of two late kickoffs on Wednesday night. A spot in the quarterfinals is up for grabs with San Diego from Estadio Nemesio Diez Riega with the away side holding a slender lead in the aggregate.
Toluca
Toluca have won back to back Liga MX titles and earned their way in to the round of 16 with a bye. They are looking to get back to the quarterfinals, but know they have to reverse a first leg loss in front of their home fans.
They might back two time defending champions, but they haven’t had much success at this level. They won their first title back in 1968 at the very early stages of this competition, but then had to wait 35 years to hoist the trophy again. With two straight league titles in their pocket they will be looking to inch a little closer to the winningest clubs in CCC, Cruz Azul and Club America who have seven.

Toluca are poised to make another run at a title this season sitting in second in the Clausura. They trail league leaders, Cruz Azul, by just a point after winning seven and drawing four in Liga MX. Paulinho is going to need to be the man to put his side on his back with 21 goals in the league between the Apertura and Clausura. Helinho has 9 but in their one CCC match it was defender Jesus Gallardo and Helinho getting on the scoresheet.
San Diego FC
San Diego is one of nine MLS sides that have made it to this stage of the tournament after getting past Pumas UNAM in the first round. The Californias took a 4-1 advantage at home in the first leg against the Mexicans and then held off for a 1-0 loss to advance to the round of 16.
San Diego isn’t just new to this competition but new to in the world of soccer. They were founded in May of 2023, and won the regular season title in last year’s MLS campaign. This is their first appearance in the competition and looking to make a big splash in their debut campaign.

They have had a good start to their season in the MLS through just four games. San Diego won their first three matches, but are coming off a 3-3 draw against FC Dallas. Danish strikers Marcus Ingvartsen and Anders Dreyer have combined for five goals and five assists through four league matches, while David Vazquez has three goals in the CCC. Ingvartsen will not be available tonight after being shown a red card in the first leg.
First leg
San Diego had to play the final 78 minutes down a man after Ingvartsen was shown a straight red before the quarter hour mark from Snapdragon Stadium. Toluca took the lead just four minutes later, but David Vazquez would put San Diego on his back scoring two goals on both sides of the halftime break. Anders Dreyer slotted home the 3-1 but a penalty tucked away by Telinho in the 90th set up an awfully interesting return leg tonight.
