“I can’t thank the fans enough”: Trent Alexander-Arnold opens up on his Real Madrid resurgence

Real Madrid right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold is hitting his stride. After a rocky start to the season marked by injuries and inconsistent performances, the former Liverpool standout is now establishing himself as a regular in Álvaro Arbeloa’s starting lineup. The player himself says he feels in top form.

A big win against Manchester City

After Real Madrid’s victory that sent them into the Champions League quarterfinals, Trent spoke to CBS about the result: “I’ve lost a lot of trophies to City. I know how hard it is to beat them, and we did an incredible job. Vinícius, Valverde, the center backs… everyone worked hard to secure the win and move on to the next round.”

Confidence is key

Trent admits that his confidence has grown thanks to the trust of his coach. “Having the confidence from the coach and being able to show it on the field has helped me a lot. I started the season at a lower level and with several injuries. Now I feel physically great, and I think I’m contributing more and more to the team.”

Adapting to Madrid life

Off the field, the 27-year-old has also settled into life in Spain. “It hasn’t been easy or difficult, somewhere in between. The club and the fans have helped me a lot. I can’t thank the fans enough for how well they treat me. It’s important to want to adapt to the city, and learning the language is essential. I don’t speak Spanish perfectly, but I can get by, and that’s helping me a lot.”
