Javier Mascherano, Lionel Messi, and Inter Miami now know the path they will take in the 2025 MLS season, which marks the league’s 30th anniversary. This year, the Herons aim to achieve their long-awaited goal of reaching their first MLS Cup and winning the league title.
For the second consecutive year, MLS has granted Inter Miami the honour of opening the season with the first match of the campaign. They will host New York City FC at Chase Stadium on Saturday, February 22.
Miami faces a challenging journey ahead, with a total of 34 games in the regular season. To reclaim the Supporters’ Shield, the team must perform at its best across 17 home games and 17 away games this season.
Additionally, as part of its participation in the Club World Cup, Inter Miami will adjust to the mandatory MLS break between June 15 and 24. The Herons will play their final match before the break on May 31 and will resume their schedule on June 26 with a game against Atlanta United.
