France are still at risk of relegation from the UEFA Nations League’s top tier, while Croatia, Denmark, the Netherlands and Belgium can all qualify for the finals.
World champions France remain in danger of relegation from League A as the 2022/23 UEFA Nations League moves into its final round of group fixtures on Sunday. Les Bleus, who are the Nations League holders, avoided the drop on Thursday by beating Austria 2-0 at the Stade de France, but they now need to get a result in Denmark - or hope that Croatia do them a favour in Vienna.

Austria win could relegate France as Croatia, Denmark seek finals spot
Sitting one point ahead of bottom side Austria, France know they will go down if they fail to beat the Danes and the Austrians win against Group A1 leaders Croatia. Didier Deschamps’ men do have the head-to-head advantage over Austria, so if the sides finish level on points, it is the Frenchmen who will stay up.
At the top of the group, Croatia will qualify for next June’s Nations League finals if they win in the Austrian capital, or if Denmark draw or lose against France.
Dutch through if they avoid heavy defeat
Elsewhere in League A, the Netherlands face Belgium for a place in the finals - but the hosts have a significant advantage over their near neighbours, who trail by three points. The Oranje’s 4-1 victory in Brussels on matchday one means the Belgians not only need to beat the Dutch to qualify at their expense, but must do so by three goals or more.
Wales left with no margin for error against Poland
At the bottom of Group A4, one of Wales or Poland will be relegated when the sides meet in Cardiff on Sunday. The Poles have a three-point lead over the Welsh, and will stay up as long as they avoid defeat.
There’s nothing left to be decided in Sunday’s League C games, but Latvia will be promoted from League D if they avoid defeat or Moldova fail to beat Liechtenstein. The Moldovans will go up if they win and Latvia lose to Andorra.
