2023 is a big year ahead for the Spanish national team with the countdown underway ahead of the Australia/New Zealand World Cup which starts in July.

Ahead of the Cup of Nations tournament which starts on 16 February and features ‘La Roja’, host nation Australia, Czech Republic and Jamaica, Spain head coach Jorge Vilda named his squad ahead of the trip ‘down under’ with the big news being the return of Jenni Hermoso. The forward, who plays for Pachuca in Mexico returns after missing the last two call-ups with none of the ‘15 rebel players′ who turned their back on the national team last September getting a look in.

Jorge Vilda named 23 players who will travel to Australia with the bulk being those who were involved in recent international ges last October and November.
