Luka Modric confirms one year extension with Real Madrid

The Croatian confirmed during the Champions League win celebrations at the Bernabeu that is will stay with the club for a further season.

There was more good news for Real Madrid fans celebrating their 14th Champions League win on Sunday night as Croatian midfielder Luka Modrić confirmed that has signed a new contract with ‘Los Blancos’ that will keep him with the club until June 2023.

Speaking to Real Madrid TV as the squad celebrated on the Bernabeu, the striker was asked if he had a message for the fans and the central player replied: ‘see you next year’ with this confirmation concluding speculation focusing on the Croatian player’s future.

A full verbal agreement between the player and the club was reached in March and it’s anticipated that Real Madrid will issue a statement imminently to officially confirm the news.
