Messi Jr. is insane

While his father prepares for what could be his sixth World Cup with Argentina, Lionel Messi’s youngest son, Ciro Messi, is beginning to make his own mark in soccer. This weekend, the youngster won the Dreams Cup with Inter Miami’s Under-8 team, where he plays alongside the academy ranks of The Herons.

It was not just the trophy that drew attention. Ciro was named the tournament’s MVP and also finished as top scorer, sparking growing interest around the youngest member of the Messi family.

Even at the Under-8 level, some stunning long-range goals have already hinted at the quality and powerful right foot the young Messi possesses. His older brothers, Thiago and Mateo, aged 13 and 10, are also regulars in Inter Miami’s academy setup, but Ciro appears to have burst onto the scene in one of the first tournaments of his young career.

The youngster scored a spectacular free kick during the competition and also found the net in the final, helping secure the title for Inter Miami. Antonela Roccuzzo, Messi’s wife and Ciro’s mother, proudly shared highlights of his best moments on social media. From Leo to Ciro, from Messi to Messi.
