Rafa Nadal delivers bold message about Real Madrid presidency rumors
The tennis player clarified on social media that he will not be part of any candidacy following rumours arising from the club’s election announcement.
Rafael Nadal, the former world number one, has used social media to clarify his position regarding the upcoming Real Madrid presidential elections. Following rumours linking him to a possible candidacy, the Mallorcan athlete made it clear that he will not be part of any campaign. Nadal, a well-known supporter of the club, sought to put an end to speculation surrounding his involvement in the electoral process.
The statement comes just one day after Florentino Pérez officially announced the call for presidential elections during a press conference. In his address, Pérez explained that any club member who meets the established requirements will be eligible to run, potentially opening the door to a new institutional era at Real Madrid.
Following the announcement, several names began circulating as possible candidates, including Nadal’s. However, the tennis star quickly dismissed the rumours with a clear and direct message, ruling out any involvement in the election race.
At present, one of the names most frequently mentioned is Enrique Riquelme, who is reportedly seriously considering stepping forward and officially presenting his candidacy.
