Netherlands vs Ecuador: preview
After thoroughly pooping Qatar’s party in the World Cup’s opening game, Ecuador meet the Netherlands on matchday two of Group A, with the Dutch also heading to Khalifa International Stadium with three points to their name.
While Enner Valencia’s double gave the Ecuadorians a 2-0 win over the Qataris on Sunday, late goals by Cody Gakpo and Davy Klaasen saw the Netherlands beat Senegal by the same scoreline on Monday.
One of the Netherlands and Ecuador could qualify for the last 16 on Friday. The Ecuadorians will be through with a win if Senegal fail to beat Qatar in the day’s earlier group game, while victory for the Oranje will take Louis van Gaal’s men into the next round as long as the Qataris drop points.
Netherlands vs Ecuador prediction

Prediction: Netherlands 2-0 Ecuador
