Wrexham AFC are now a global soccer phenomenon.

The boom in popularity which Wrexham has experienced over the past few years is undoubtedly due to the arrival of new owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney and this blossomed in August of last year with the release of the FX/Disney Plus documentary series ‘Welcome to Wrexham’.

The original documentary followed the Hollywood pair as they embarked on the adventure to secure the struggling Welsh club and the ensuing rollercoaster 2021-22 season as hopes and dreams were dashed as the ‘Red Dragons’ failed to secure promotion to the fourth tier of the English football pyramid. Despite the failure on the pitch, the documentary was a massive success generating a legions of new Wrexham fans worldwide.
