Neymar speaks about Lionel Messi’s move to Inter Miami: “He will live a completely different life”
Neymar said that Messi’s decision to sign for Inter Miami was the correct one, as he and his family had a difficult time in Paris.
The positive relationship that Neymar and Lionel Messi forged together from their time at Barcelona carried over to the Argentine star’s recent spell at PSG, an era that ended a few weeks ago after the announcement of the world champion’s move to Inter Miami in MLS.
In an interview with YouTube creator Casimiro Miguel, the Brazilian forward spoke about Messi’s decision to sign for Inter Miami and his reasoning behind ending his spell in European football with PSG.

Neymar said that thanks to the good relationship he has with Messi, he was aware of the Argentine’s decision before it was made known to others. Messi, who is now set to start a new adventure in the United States, was given heaps of praise by Neymar, who expected good things from the player in a totally different environment from the one he had in Paris, hinting that the Argentine and his family did not have a completely good time in the French capital.
“Messi has already won everything. His family was greatly affected during the last two years at PSG. I understand him, he has gone to a place where he will be well received. He will live a completely different life. His family is going to feel very good in Miami”, Neymar explained.
Neymar regrets not winning UCL with Messi at PSG
On the other hand, Neymar regretted the fact that he was not able to win the Champions League at PSG together with Messi, but stressed that the Argentine’s decision to play for Inter Miami was the right thing for him and his family.
“It was a good choice. They were difficult years for us together. We tried, but unfortunately it didn't work this time,” he added.
Finally, Neymar said he was grateful to be able to form the attacking trident of PSG along with Messi and Mbappé, who is still his teammate in the French squad, although he stressed that the three did not fully fit together for achieve the club’s main goal: winning the Champions League.

“We had a very strong team. Messi, Mbappé and I are three guys who are some of the best in the world. We knew it, but unfortunately we didn’t fit . It wasn’t good for us,” he admitted.
Neymar pointed out that the trio’s intention was to “win everything”, but that “soccer is sometimes not the right thing, the fair thing”, he declared.
