Possible Barcelona lineup against Betis today in LaLiga: Camp Nou to pay tribute to Lewandowski
Hansi Flick has confirmed that the Polish striker will start this Sunday so he can say goodbye to fans at Spotify Camp Nou.
Hansi Flick made it crystal clear that the lineup he fields this Sunday against Real Betis — Barcelona’s final home match of the season at Camp Nou — will look nothing like the one that fell 1–0 in Vitoria on Wednesday.
The German coach has already confirmed that Joan García will return as the starting goalkeeper, replacing Wojciech Szczęsny. One player who will keep his spot is Robert Lewandowski, who’ll get the chance to say goodbye to the fans after announcing his departure in an emotional message on Saturday.
Rashford rested
The rest of the XI could feature several notable changes, especially with Fermín López and Raphinha back in the squad.
With García locked in between the posts, the back line is expected to include Eric García, Pau Cubarsí, Gerard Martín, and João Cancelo. If that holds, Cubarsí would be the only defender to retain his place from the loss to Alavés.
In midfield, both Gavi and Pedri are strong candidates to start, with Dani Olmo likely to remain in the attacking midfield role. Up front, Lewandowski will lead the line, while Fermín and Raphinha are the favorites to occupy the wings — though Roony Bardghji can’t be ruled out.
One player who won’t start is Marcus Rashford. The forward sat out the final training session due to discomfort and won’t be in the opening XI.
Possible Barcelona lineup vs Betis
Barcelona’s projected starting XI this evening is expected to be:
Joan García; Eric García, Pau Cubarsí, Gerard Martín, João Cancelo; Gavi, Pedri, Dani Olmo; Raphinha, Lewandowski, Fermín.
