Qataris feel betrayed by Kylian Mbappé antics

According to reports in France, the PSG owners in Doha are getting tired of the player’s behaviour, especially after they did everything possible for him.

Not even five months have passed since Paris Saint-Germain announced, in a packed Parc des Princes, the brand new renewal package for Kylian Mbappé. Despite that, just a few weeks into the new season and the young forward has already had to publicly deny rumours that he wants out of the French capital due to things not going exactly the way he wants them to. Denial in itself is no crime, but many suggest that these rumours sneak out for a reason.

Mbappé unrest, displeases PSG owners

Last Saturday, after Le Classique against Marseille, the French international went into the press conference to put out those ‘January exit’ claims, a message reported to be to calm the waters in the middle of a storm that could have a negative impact on PSG when it came to meeting their sporting goals.

Did those words end the latest chapter in the seemingly never-ending soap opera? You’ll be unsurprised to hear that they didn’t.

According to information from L’Équipe, Qatar has begun to tire of Mbappé's attitude. In Doha they feel betrayed by the behaviour of the player, who renewed for two seasons on an eye-watering contract and is already, it appears, asking to leave. In addition, from the highest echelons of the country, they believe that a player cannot dictate the rules of a club, so the relationship between the two is increasingly deteriorating.

Mbappé managed to appease a bubble that burst last Tuesday before the Champions League match against Benfica. However, he could be set to meet in the next few days with the Qatari leaders to settle his future. They are not considering selling him in January after having done the impossible to keep him in Paris for two more years (which could be three if he unilaterally executes a clause that exists in his contract).
