Raúl Jiménez is trying to find his peak form after dealing with a string of injuries in the past two years for club and country. The former Club América striker is struggling to gain the confidence of the Wolves manager Julen Lopetegui and the club is willing to listen to offers for him during the January transfer window.

It has been rumored that Raúl Jiménez could return to his boyhood club América in Liga MX on loan until the summer, but he wants to stay in Europe. The Mexican international is just finding his rhythm in the Carabao Cup after scoring the equalizer in Wednesday’s match to send the quarter-final game against Nottingham Forest to penalties.

This was Jiménez’ third goal in three appearances at the competition, but he couldn’t help Wolverhampton Wanderers advance. Steve Cooper’s Notts Forest defeated the Wolves 4-3 on penalties and Forest goalkeeper Dean Henderson was the hero with two saves to book their spot to the semi-finals.

New milestone for Raúl Jiménez

The 31-year-old reached a milestone on Wednesday night as he tied Carlos Vela in the list of Mexican players with the most goals in Europe’s top tier. Both strikers have 89 goals across all competitions and Jiménez did it with Atlético Madrid, Benfica and Wolverhampton in eight years in Europe.
