Rayados are back in training as the Mexican side prepare for their forthcoming Club World Cup campaign under new coach Domènec Torrent. Ahead of the FIFA tournament, the Liga MX side have confirmed a couple of friendly games before making the trip to the United States.

Monterrey reported back to training on Monday, May 26th, after a brief vacation period and Torrent will be able to use the two friendly games to take a better look at his players in a game setting.

The first of the warm-up games will take place this Friday as they take on Xolos de Tijuana. The following week on either June 11/12, Rayados will face second tier side Atlante. Both matches will be played behind closed doors in Nuevo León.

June 13th is the planned travel date to the United States with Monterrey set to play all three Group E games at the iconic Pasadena Rose Bowl in the Los Angeles suburbs. The Mexican side is set to meet Inter Milan, River Plate and Urawa Red Diamonds with the top two teams from the group progressing to the Round of 16.

At present, the good news for Domènec is that his entire squad are available for the preparation matches and the Club World Cup, where the likes of Sergio Ramos, Sergio Canales, Óliver Torres and Lucas Ocampos will look to make an impression. As things stand, Rayados are not expected to avail of the special FIFA transfer that runs from June 1-10.
