Real Madrid regains a huge home stadium advantage
A double breach of contract had brought everything to a standstill for months. Real Madrid celebrates the commercial court's decision.
Real Madrid will regain possession of the so-called Sky Bar, a VIP area at Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, after the agreement between the club and the insolvency administrators was judicially approved.
In a statement, the club said:
Official Announcement: Real Madrid will regain possession of the Sky Bar following a court-authorized agreement
Real Madrid C. F. announces that the commercial court overseeing the bankruptcy proceedings of Anastia Gourmet Hostelería, S. L. has issued an order authorizing the settlement agreement reached between the bankruptcy administration and Real Madrid regarding the space known as Sky Bar.
The agreement, positively assessed by the bankruptcy administration, a majority of creditors involved, and the court itself, resolves the ongoing judicial disputes between the parties concerning this space.
The court considers that the transaction aligns with the interests of the bankruptcy proceedings and creditors, as it resolves the existing conflict under criteria of economic rationality and legal certainty.
Additionally, the agreement will allow Real Madrid to regain possession of the premises known as Sky Bar.
It is worth noting that Real Madrid had already obtained a favorable ruling in the proceedings held before the Court of First Instance No. 50 of Madrid regarding the possession of the said premises.
