Real Madrid have an opportunity to regain the lead at the top of the LaLiga table when they travel to Getafe on Thursday. This weekend sees Los Blancos face Atlético Madrid at the Bernabéu (Sunday 4 February) before they take on fellow title challengers Girona (Saturday 10) in the Spanish capital. But before that, they face the tricky short trip to Getafe, where Carlo Ancelotti will welcome back Jude Bellingham to the fold after the England international was suspended for the game against Las Palmas.

Long-term injuries

The treatment room at Valdebebas is a lot quieter these days after the return of several first-team regulars to action, with only the three long-term injured players remaining sidelined: Thibaut Courtois, Éder Militao and David Alaba.

Possible Real Madrid XI vs Getafe

Andriy Lunin is expected to start between the sticks, with the same line of four in front of him: Dani Carvajal, Antonio Rüdiger, Nacho and Ferland Mendy. Luka Modric could return to the engine room after two games without playing a single minute, while Toni Kroos and Eduardo Camavinga may be given a rest to be replaced by the versatile Fede Valverde and France international Aurélien Tchouaméni. Up front, Rodrygo and Vinícius will lead the line, with Bellingham slightly deeper.
