Real Madrid’s possible lineup vs Alavés in LaLiga today: team news, injuries and suspensions
Real Madrid boss Álvaro Arbeloa is expected to make few changes to his team today, as Los Merengues host Alavés in the Spanish top flight.

Real Madrid return to the Estadio Bernabéu, where they have three games left in a season marked by frustration: for a second consecutive year, Los Blancos are set to miss out on major silverware. Eliminated from the Champions League by Bayern Munich last Wednesday, Madrid head into LaLiga matchday 33 lying nine points adrift of runaway leaders Barcelona.
Few changes expected in Real Madrid team
For today’s game against Alavés, there are very few question marks over Arbeloa’s expected lineup. It’s likely to closely resemble the XI used last week in Bavaria. The only potential changes appear to be at right back, where Dani Carvajal could come in, and in central defense, where Dean Huijsen would give a well‑needed rest to a visibly fatigued Antonio Rüdiger.
In midfield, Arbeloa is set to restore Aurélien Tchouaméni to the lineup after he missed the match at the Allianz Arena through suspension. The Frenchman would slot in alongside Jude Bellingham, Fede Valverde and Arda Güler. Up front, the attacking responsibility would fall to the familiar partnership of Vinícius Júnior and Kylian Mbappé. Notably, Mbappé is the only Madrid player currently one booking away from suspension - and he was sent off last season when Madrid met Alavés at Mendizorroza.
Mbappé is chasing back-to-back Pichichi trophies over these final seven matches of the league season. He has gone scoreless in his last four appearances, in addition to missing four other games (one by technical decision and three through injury). As a result, Real Mallorca’s Vedat Muriqi has closed the gap dramatically, now sitting just two goals behind Mbappé’s total of 23. The Kosovar has been in red‑hot form, scoring five goals in his last five outings, including braces against Osasuna and Rayo Vallecano, and a late winner to seal victory against Madrid in stoppage time.
Possible Real Madrid XI vs Alavés
Lunin; Carvajal, Militão, Huijsen, Mendy; Valverde, Tchouaméni, Bellingham, Arda Güler; Vinícius, Mbappé.
