The one statistic to give Manchester City hope against Real Madrid

Beating a LaLiga team by 3 goals and overturning a huge UCL deficit is not an impossible task.

Update:

Despite the deficit feeling like a leap across the abyss for Manchester City ahead of their Champions League Round of 16 second leg game against Real Madrid, who hold a 3-goal lead, hope is not lost.

Were City to pull of a performance of the ages and come back against the 15-time champions, they would have to equal or better the stunning result Liverpool managed against Barcelona back in 2019.

The Reds had lost 3-0 at Camp Nou but an astonishing turnaround was on the cards: that famous Alexander-Arnold corner now remains as the defining moment of another historic night in Europe’s elite competition.
