Tottenham are the latest big name side to be linked with the striker with Sky Sports Lyali Thomas claiming: “If Tottenham end up looking for a new center forward to replace the gap left by Harry Kane, then, logically, Serhou Guirassy and Santiago Giménez will be on the top of their wanted list. The pair are two of the finest forwards in Europe who are playing exceptionally well. If you talk to coaches, scouts, technical directors and even club directors, they all mention the names of Guirassy and Santiago Giménez.”
Giménez to cover Harry Kane’s exit
Spurs have yet to cover the striking void left by Harry Kane who moved to Bayern Munich in August of last year but as things stand any move for the Mexican from Rotterdam to London would materialize at the end of the 2023-24 season with Spurs one of many suitors queing up to secure the former Cruz Azul man’s services.
Giménez has already spoken about his future and alluded that a move away from the Dutch league at the end of the season us very much on the cards: “I don’t know about the future as nothing has been formalised, but I think that when we arrived in Holland, our objective and our goal was to stay for two years and go to another league. I always try to live in the present, I don’t try to take giant steps or see much further ahead.”
