UEFA Champions League: Pulisic and Reyna in group of death with Mbappé and Newcastle
Christian Pulisic, Yunus Musah and Gio Reyna will play in the same Champions League group as PSG and Newcastle.
On Thursday 32 teams discovered their Champions League group-stage rivals for the 2023/24 season.
Milan and USMNT forward Christian Pulisic will play in the so-called group of death this season. The Rossoneri will take on Borussia Dortmund, where fellow American forward Gio Reyna plies his trade.
Milan and Dortmund will face PSG with Kylian Mbappé in their attack as they look to progress to the last 16 of the competition. Eddie Howe’s Newcastle are the fourth team in the group, and will play group-stage football for the first time in 21 years.
Other Americans in the Champions League
Pulisic, Yunus Musah and Reyna are not the only USMNT players playing in the Champions League. Sergiño Dest, Ricardo Pepi and Malik Tillman will be involved with Dutch club PSV, who will face Sevilla, Arsenal and Lens.
Aaronson in
Likewise, Brenden Aaronson and Jordan Pefok will be there with Union Berlin in their debut season in the Champions League. The Bundesliga club will face Napoli, Real Madrid and SC Braga.
Sam Vines and Royal Antwerp will come up against Barcelona, Porto and Shaktar, while Cameron Carter-Vickers of Celtic will come up against Feyenoord, Atlético Madrid and Lazio.
