Nottingham Forest have reached an agreement to sign Arsenal and USMNT goalkeeper Matt Turner, reports David Ornstein of The Athletic.

USMNT No 1

Turner, 29, has established himself as the USA’s No 1, but his club career has seen him struggle for game time in north London, playing only seven times under Mikel Arteta last season.

Competition at Arsenal

If Raya were to join Arsenal, Turner would become third-choice at the Emirates, behind Aaron Ramsdale and the Spain international.

Turner, from New Jersey, began his career with Jersey Express, before making the move to New England Revolution in 2016.

He plied his trade in MLS until Arsenal signed him in 2022, a year after he made his debut with the USMNT, and has gone to represent his country 32 times.
