USMNT midfielder Yunus Musah’s message to El Salvador ahead of the Nations League game
The midfielder sent a cheeky message to the Central American side before the clash in the Concacaf Nations League.
Ahead of the clash between the USMNT and El Salvador on Monday 27 March (see how to watch here), Yunus Musah sent a message to his opponents through his Instagram account, saying “that time again...” and a picture of a red card.
Before the Instagram post, the Valencia player had said in a press conference that the game was not going to be easy for his team: “The game is going to be a really intense battle,” Musah said. “We have to, as usual, match their intensity and physicality. Our attitude has to be spot-on.” He said as much with his social media post.
Musah has played in the two games between both teams, the first in Ohio, which finished with a USMNT win, and the second a draw in the Nations League.
In terms of the results leading up to the game, the USMNT put seven goals past Grenada (winning 7-1) and El Salvador drew 1-1 against Jamaica.
What did Anthony Hudson say ahead of the game?
As for the USMNT coach, Anthony Hudson, he hinted at potential changes for his side in their upcoming game: “It’s a luxury we have in windows like this. We have a very strong group, and we have a good depth, which allows us to be able to prepare for two games in a short timeframe and to be able to rotate — not wholesale changes — but to rotate in a way that we can at least get to the second game and have freshness without losing quality.”
