The United States women’s national team is gaining momentum in preparation for the 2024 Paris Olympics. Following their recent achievement of securing the silver medal at the Pan American Games a few weeks ago, the North American team is already casting a glance towards the upcoming summer Olympic event. Nevertheless, before hearing the national anthem at the Olympic Stadium, the American players will bid farewell to 2023 with a double-header against China on home soil.

When will USWNT play China?

The two fixtures announced by the official USWNT page for December against China will take place on 2 December at DRV PNK Stadium, the home of Inter Miami, and on 5 December at Toyota Stadium in Frisco, Texas. However, a specific schedule for these matches has not yet been finalized. These matches will mark the final games under the coaching tenure without Emma Hayes, who will assume her position just before the Paris event. The encounters will be recorded as the fifty-ninth meeting between the two teams, representing the most common opponent in USWNT’s entire history.

How much do USWNT tickets cost?

Concerning the cost of attending the USWNT match, it has been revealed that Ticketmaster will be responsible for ticket sales for the 2 December game. According to the specialized sports and entertainment events company’s website, ticket prices to watch the ‘Stars and Stripes’ players will range from $25 to $313. The more affordable seats are located in the amphitheaters of DRV PNK Stadium, with centrally positioned seats being the most expensive and considered VIP.

On the other hand, field-level seats will be the priciest for the match, providing proximity to the stadium turf, precisely in front of the players’ benches. Don’t forget, we’ll bring you live coverage of the games here on AS USA.

A year to forget

Reflecting on 2023, it has been a forgettable year for the American team. The catastrophic elimination from the Australia and New Zealand World Cup, coinciding with Megan Rapinoe’s farewell, dealt a severe blow to US Soccer. The women’s national team has been a standard-bearer in women’s football, clinching the World Cup in 2015 and 2019.

The upcoming era under Emma Hayes promises to be another golden age for the Americans, and notably, it will make the coach the highest-paid figure in international women’s football.
