Viral video of Haaland being “sent to space”
Erling Haaland was sent to space by GOAL, who launched a model of the Manchester City striker 21 miles into the atmosphere.
Manchester City has had an incredible season, winning the Premier League and making their way to the FA Cup and Champions League final. Striker Erling Haaland contributed to that in perhaps the best Premier League debut season ever, breaking a record with 36 goals for City and 52 across all competitions. To celebrate such an other-worldly season, if you will, GOAL launched a 3D model of Haaland into the sky.
The model left from Yorkshire and flew around for over two hours before making its landing at 200 miles per hour. GOAL shared the flight via live stream on Tuesday and has now gone viral. The model of Haaland emulates him doing his famous meditation celebration. Five other models were created and given to fans ahead of the launch as City reached the Premier League title.
City will play Manchester United in the FA Cup this Saturday, June 3 and will take on Inter Milan in the Champions League a week later as they look to win a treble with three titles this season.
