The winger left Spain’s training camp early and was seen limping as he returned to Barcelona.
And another player falls. Lamine Yamal has left the Spain national team camp early after suffering an injury in the previous game. The winger is not thought to have a serious issue however it will impede him from playing in La Selección’s next fixture, against Serbia. He has returned to Barcelona ahead of the return of LaLiga and it remains to be seen whether or not he will be fit enough to feature for Hansi Flick.
The youngster played just over 90 minutes of Spain’s 1-0 win over Denmark on Saturday which saw his side dominate without breaking the deadlock, until Real Sociedad midfielder Martín Zubimedi struck a late volley through the outstretched grasp of Kasper Schmeichel.

Denmark defender Kristiansen made sure he left his mark on Lamine Yamal, and the challenges flew in on the winger who managed to slip and slide past a large majority of them. However, it appears that the damage has been done and the player is suffering from an as yet undefined injury that, as seen in the videos, caused him problems when leaving the stadium.
The Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) confirmed on Sunday that the player had undergone an MRI in Madrid... the tests did not detect a structural injury and the medical services confirmed that it was an overload issue”.
After having undergone another series of tests to determine the extent of the issue, a diagnosis will be made: he has a strain in his left hamstring.
At the time of writing, the signs are that the injury is not serious and does not pose a threat for his participation in Barcelona’s game against Sevilla. Hansi Flick is expected to include him in the squad.
Spain manager Luis de la Fuente was asked for his opinion on whether or not he was playing Lamine Yamal too much given the tumultuous calendar. “The minutes in the national team represent just 3.5% [of the season]”, he argued, “if he were playing for his club it would be different. Here there are four FIFA breaks, eight games and we have to play the best players we have”.
