What is Manchester City striker Erling Haaland’s goalscoring record against every Premier League club?

Manchester City striker Erling Haaland reached a new milestone against Brentford on Tuesday, with his second-half strike against The Bees meaning he has now scored against every Premier League club he has faced since joining Pep Guardiola’s team in the summer of 2022.

Haaland’s Brentford strike crucial in Premier League title race

With City struggling to break the Londoners done, Kristoffer Ajer’s untimely slip allowed the 23 year old to race onto Julián Álvarez’s through-ball and clinically slot past Mark Flekken, making Brentford his 21st and latest Premier League victim.

And it could prove to be a hugely crucial goal, as without it last year’s champions would’ve been third, three points behind leaders Liverpool and one worse off than Arsenal. As it is, they have leapfrogged The Gunners and are just a point off top spot.

How many league goals has he scored for City?

Haaland has barely stopped scoring since bagging a double on his Premier League debut away to West Ham on 7 August 2022. Incredibly, he found the net 15 times in his first 10 league appearances and went on to break the division’s single-season scoring record, ending 2022-23 with 36 goals in 35 appearances.

This season has gone a little less smoothly, with an injury keeping the Norwegian on the sidelines for several weeks, yet he has still netted 17 times in 20 fixtures and completed the Premier League set.

Which Premier League teams has Haaland scored most against? Who has the best record?

Manchester United and Fulham have been Haaland’s favourite opponents to date, with five goals scored in three meetings with each team, followed by West Ham, Wolves and Everton (four in three games).

Brentford had managed to keep the City striker quiet in two previous games before Tuesday, although their record of being scored against only once in three matches is the best any team has managed, along with Bournemouth, Tottenham Hotspur, Aston Villa and Newcastle.

The only Premier League club from the last two seasons Haaland has yet to score against is Luton Town, and that’s because he missed City’s 2-1 win away to The Hatters on 10 December, the only time the two teams have met this term. The former Borussia Dortmund star will have to wait until 13 April, when Luton visit the Etihad, to add to his list of victims.
