Most people would love to have Lionel Messi’s phone number, although few, we can only assume, are lucky enough to have it on their list of contacts. But if you’ve ever wondered what the Inter Miami star as his WhatsApp profile picture (who hasn’t...?), then you’re in luck. And it’s all down to Tomi Messi.

Who is Tomi Messi?

Only those closest to the Argentina captain - family, friends, ex-teammates - are able to dial him up when they fancy a chat, a category which Tomi falls into. The seven-time Ballon d’Or winner’s nephew has revealed on a Twitch stream which photo his uncle has selected for his WhatsApp profile (whether or not he asked for Leo’s permission is unclear...).

The hosts of the AbitareTv Twitch channel tried to convince Tomi to give out Messi’s phone number, which, of course, he refused to do. They did, however, persuade him to disclose what his WhatsApp profile picture is, which they attempted to guess before it was revealed.

“This is the WhatsApp profile picture of the best player in history”

“I guess he will have one with some trophy. It probably won’t be one in a bowling alley, knowing Leo... I imagine it will be on a soccer field”.

After several guesses, Tomi put them out of their misery. “This is the photo of the best player in history,” he said, revealing a picture taken during one of the most iconic moments of Messi’s career, namely Argentina’s 2022 World Cup victory in Qatar.
