Mascherano wants Messi and Di María for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games
Javier Mascherano admitted that he would like both Messi and Di María to play for Argentina at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

Messi, as sad as it is to say, is coming towards the end of his time as an Argentina player. Some people think that he can still reach the 2026 World Cup, which will be played in the United States, Mexico and Canada, but before that there are more tournaments which the World Cup winner can still seek glory.
The Inter Miami footballer is among Javier Mascherano’s plans to compete in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, although first they must win their way to a place at the tournament that will take place between July and August 2024.

Messi and Di María “have the power” to choose if they want to play
Both Messi and Ángel Di María, key members of Argentina’s 2022 World Cup winning squad in Qatar, could find themselves as the two over-23-years-old options in the upcoming Albiceleste squad.
“It would be a proud moment for us to have two world champions. There are players who have earned the power to decide certain things and Leo and Ángel are that type of player,” said the manager to TyC Sports.

Messi on the hunt for more international success
The coach who currently manages the Argentina youth team is preparing for the Conmebol Pre-Olympics that will be held at the beginning of next year in Venezuela, where he is hoping to give Messi the possibility of another gold medal.
Finally, Mascherano recognised the fantastic moment of form that the former Barcelona player is going through with Inter Miami (who recently lost without him) and admitted that “winning the Copa América gave [Messi] peace of mind, and then, obviously, it was strengthened by winning the World Cup”.
