In recent weeks, the topic that has been widely discussed worldwide in the realm of soccer is the speculation surrounding Lionel Messi’s future for the upcoming season. There is keen interest in knowing which club he will join, with clubs such as Barcelona, Al-Hilal, and Inter Miami being mentioned near the top of the list.

For the time being, though, the Argentine superstar, who recently achieved the title of world champion in Qatar 2022, will make an appearance on the Apple TV+ streaming platform.

A docuseries focusing on the iconic number ‘10′ of the Argentina national team and Barcelona will be released on Apple TV. The series will primarily revolve around Messi’s participation in the FIFA World Cups, showcasing his journey over the years in the prestigious international tournament and culminating in Argentina’s victory against France at the Lusail Stadium in December.

The documentary will be presented in four parts, comprehensively depicting the entire process of Messi’s impact on the Albiceleste, leading them to secure their third World Cup victory in the nation’s history. It will cover significant moments from his debut at the World Cup in Germany in 2006, the memorable campaign under the guidance of Diego Armando Maradona in South Africa 2010, the heartbreaking defeat in the final against Germany in Brazil 2014, the challenging campaign under coach Sampaoli in Russia 2018, and the redemption and triumph in Qatar 2022.

While the docuseries centered around Messi does not have an official title at this time, the prospect of witnessing his journey from his World Cup experiences to his recent triumph in the tournament has generated significant anticipation. The inclusion of behind-the-scenes footage and exclusive content focused on the Argentine legend adds further intrigue to the project. Fans and viewers are eager to delve into the story of Messi and gain a deeper understanding of his remarkable career.

Who produced the Messi docuseries for Apple TV?

The docuseries is being produced by Tim Pastore, Matt Renner, John Henion, and Juan Camilo Cruz.

Pastore and Renner are Emmy Award winners for their work on National Geographic’s ‘Free Solo’. Henion has been involved in Star+’s ‘Welcome to Wrexham’, while Camilo Cruz has worked on ‘In Her Hands’, a film highlighting the story of the youngest female mayor of Afghanistan.

The series is a collaboration between Apple, Smuggler Entertainment, and Pegsa Group, with these companies providing their support and resources to bring the project to fruition.
