When will the Liga MX ‘cláscios’ take place during the Apertura 2023 season?
Matchday 8 of the tournament in September sees Club América host Chivas Guadalajara at the Azteca Stadium.
The 2023 Apertura Liga MX season gets underway on Friday as Club America face FC Juarez in the Mexican capital as this season’s competition will be truncated by the new format of the Leagues Cup. MLS and Liga MX sides will gop head to head in July causing a break in the Liga MX campaign between matchdays 3-6.
América, Chivas, Rayados and current champions Tigres go into the competition as firm favourites and Pumas and Cruz Azul fans will be hoping their sides can deliver some competition at the top of the table after a series of underwhelming campaigns.
