Where to watch Saudi Pro League: Broadcast deal struck in US, UK and Canada

With the likes of Karim Benzema and Sadio Mane following Cristiano Ronaldo to Saudi Arabia, global interest in the nascent league has soared.

The Saudi Pro League has struck a series of broadcast deals, allowing a global audience to watch a selection of live matches featuring the league’s biggest teams.

Over the past year the league, backed by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF), has made a concerted effort to expand its reach.

Former Real Madrid and Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo was the first elite player to make the move to the Saudi Pro League and the likes of Karim Benzema, Sadio Mane and Jordan Henderson have followed this summer.

How can I watch Saudi Pro League matches?

The league has agreed broadcast deals in more than 130 territories, recently expanding to the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom. Here’s a few of the broadcast deals struck by the Saudi Pro League so far:

In the United States FOX Sports will have exclusive rights to Saudi Pro League games. Full details of the coverage have not yet been released but subscribers will be able to view three major games in each of the season’s 34 game weeks.

Saudi Pro League fixtures

The 2023/24 Saudi Pro League season begins this weekend. The raft of big-name signings has boosted the visibility of and interest in the league, but it remains to be seen if that will translate to television viewership.

The stand-out fixture of the opening weekend takes place on Monday, when the Al Nassr of Ronaldo and Mane take on Henderson’s Al Ettifaq.
