That clash in Italy is one of six occasions on which the Frenchman has refereed games involving Madrid - and the Spaniards have been victorious every time.
Most notably, Turpin was appointed to Madrid’s 1-0 victory over Liverpool in the Champions League’s trophy decider in Paris two years ago, as Los Merengues lifted a record-extending 14th European title.
