Update:

A couple of years ago, during Cole Palmer’s first season with Chelsea, many would have tipped the attacking midfielder to become one of England’s stars at World Cup 2026. That could still happen, of course, although injuries have hampered the 24-year-old and his form has tailed off this year, much like his club’s.

Things, however, appear to be going rather well for Palmer off the field. Olivia Holder has become the former Manchester City star’s biggest fan since the couple got together.

According to the British tabloids, Holder, a model, is a “devout Christian” and regular churchgoer, with one source revealing: “Church is a massive part of Olivia’s life. Her faith is very important to her and the Bible is her favourite read. Sure, she is a beautiful and glamorous model and influencer, but she knows that beauty is only skin deep.”

Don’t let that Bible quote lead you into believing otherwise.

Palmer and Holder go public

Holder is also extremely partial to a selfie on Instagram, where she has just under 24,000 followers. Expect plenty more from the United States, Mexico and Canada this summer if Palmer gets the England call, as expected.

Although Palmer and Holder reportedly met when they were 17, their first public outing came in December last year, when they shared snaps from the Winter Wonderland Christmas fair in London’s Hyde Park.

Since then, Holder has been spotted cheering Palmer on at Stamford Bridge on numerous occasions and was also in the stands as Chelsea took on Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League in Paris in March.

Chelsea struggles continue

Her support, however, has not done Palmer and Chelsea a whole lot of good in recent weeks, with the Blues winning only two of their last 12 Premier League games, a run that has seen them slide out of Champions League contention.

Additionally, they were thrashed 8-2 on aggregate by PSG and most recently lost the FA Cup final to City.

Palmer, meanwhile, is on a run of 12 games without a goal, with his last strike coming in the 4-1 Premier League victory away to Aston Villa on March 4.
