Who is the top-rated NWSL player in FIFA 23?
The National Women’s Soccer League, the US’ elite female soccer division, is due to be added to the EA Sports video game this week.
Alex Morgan is FIFA 23′s highest-rated player from the National Women’s Soccer League, which is to be included in the EA Sports soccer sim from Wednesday. The United States women’s national team legend, who plays for the San Diego Wave, has been given an overall player rating of 90.
Morgan remains USWNT’s best
Morgan, who came second in the voting for the 2022 FIFA Best Women’s Player award, is among the NWSL stars who were already part of the FIFA franchise: the USWNT has featured in the video game since 2016. The 33-year-old’s top ranking in 2023 maintains her record of always being EA Sports’ highest-rated US international.
Other NWSL footballers in FIFA 23
In second place in the NWSL’s FIFA ratings is Brazilian forward Debinha, who plays for the Kansas City Current and has a score of 88. The 31-year-old has been in the US’ elite women’s soccer division since 2017, when she joined the North Carolina Courage. She has also featured at two World Cups for Brazil - in Canada in 2015 and France in 2019 - and, together with Morgan, is one of the stand-out performers in the NWSL.
Just behind Morgan and Debinha are other members of the USWNT: Rose Lavelle (OL Reign), Sophia Smith (Portland Thorns) and Mallory Swanson (Chicago Red Stars) are rated at 87, while Christen Press (Angel City FC), Megan Rapinoe (OL Reign) and Becky Sauerbrunn (Portland Thorns) are all given an 86.
On 85, meanwhile, there is a tie involving three goalkeepers, including two from the USWNT: Alyssa Naeher (Chicago Red Stars) and Adrianna Franch (KC Current) are level with Canada custodian Kailen Sheridan (San Diego Wave).
