Inspired by the brilliant Lamine Yamal, Spain reached their first European Championship final in 12 years after a 2-1 victory over France in Munich on Tuesday. Attention now turns to the second Euro 2024 semifinal at Westfalenstadion in Dortmund to see whether they face the Netherlands or England at Olympiastadion in Berlin on Sunday July 14.

Euro 2024 schedule for Wednesday July 10

Netherlands vs England - 3pm ET/12pm PT, Dortmund

Once considered one of the strongest national teams in world soccer, the Netherlands suffered a spectacular fall from grace after the 2014 World Cup, failing to qualify for Euro 2016 and the following World Cup in 2018. They have continued their resurgence in Germany, however, with reaching the last four an improvement on their performances at Euro 2020 and the 2022 World Cup.

England haven’t been at all impressive so far, scoring just two goals in a relatively kind group, needing an injury-time goal from Jude Bellingham to force extra time against Slovakia in the round of 16 and a penalty shootout to defeat Switzerland in the last eight. However, their defensive solidity has allowed them to progress thanks to sporadic moments of quality in attack.
