Update:

FC Barcelona take on Slavia Praha in match day 7 of the Champions League campaign, and they will have to do so without their star attacker, Lamine Yamal, who is unavailable for manager Hansi Flick.

The young winger is suspended for the game at the Fortuna Arena, which will see the LaLiga side fight for a place in top 8 of the league table. He received his third yellow card in the league phase against Eintracht Frankfurt in the last game in the continental competition, a 2-1 home win.

So far this season, Lamine Yamal has played in 16 LaLiga games, scoring 7 goals and putting up 9 assists for his teammates. In the Champions League this season he has played in 5 games, scoring 2 goals and getting 2 assists. He missed the opening Champions League game of the season, a 1-2 win against Premier League side Newcastle, due to injury.

Three other players are not available for Hansi Flick for this game: Ferran Torres is out after suffering an injury to his right leg; Marc-André ter Stegen has been granted permission by the club to remain in Spain while he seals a loan move to Girona; João Cancelo is not registered for this phase of the competition.

In addition to those absences, Flick is also without Gavi and Christensen, who continue their recovery from injury.
