Will Casemiro play in Manchester United’s final home match of the season?
Manchester United supporters are set to bid farewell to Brazilian midfielder Casemiro who leaves at the end of the season, but will he be fit to play?

No amount of begging or pleading or cheering will keep Casemiro from departing Manchester United this summer. The Brazilian midfielder has made up his mind and is set to play his final two matches as a Red Devil overt the next couple of weeks.
One last match
Casemiro was left out of the squad for last week’s match against Sunderland, and there were suspicions of whether or not the number 18 would be suiting up for the final home match of the season. Day’s before the clash with Nottingham Forest it looks as though Casemiro will be in the squad, and ready to give the supporters one last show at Old Trafford.
United manager Michael Carrick confirmed the Brazilian’s presence in the squad ahead of their match on Sunday. “Casemiro is available. I can speak for him since I’ve been here and met him, obviously, and worked with him,” said the manager that has turned things around at the Theater of Dreams and secured Champions League play next season.
After leaving Real Madrid in 2022, Casemiro signed with Manchester United and many supporters were suspicious of the move after he won everything with the Spanish giants. Casemiro turned those doubts into delight, bringing his brand of ruthless and relentless play as the anchor in the midfield. In his time as a Red Devil, Casemiro has made more than 150 appearances and won a Carabao Cup in the 2022-23 season.
Fans the best thing about club, says Case
That sentiment has transmitted around the club. The supporters have been showering him with praise and cheers since he announced he would be leaving the club. Chants of “one more year” have been ringing around Old Trafford for the last few months, as the outpouring of love for Casemiro hasn’t been limited to just the fans.

Carrick went on to commend Casemiro’s professional attitude, and his relationship with the fans. “He’s fully invested, he’s fully supported us as the staff and the performances that he’s given, so he’s obviously had some ups and downs, as like we all have in football and over the years, but to finish so strongly and to see that connection that he’s got with his supporters is really good to see.”
Before playing his final match at Old Trafford, Casemiro sat down for a chat with club legend Rio Ferdinand and tipped his hate to the fans and their never ending support. “The thing most surprising, the best thing in this club is the fans. The fans here. It doesn’t matter the game. It doesn’t matter if you draw, you lose, you win. Every game,” said Casemiro.
