England’s World Cup preparations took a chaotic turn after team equipment—including the match boots of the squad’s biggest stars, soccer balls, and training kits—was stolen in a stunning heist. The security breach marks yet another turbulent episode for the Three Lions, following a shooting near their previous training facility and an earthquake in the Florida Keys.

The theft occurred while the team’s cargo was en route from West Palm Beach, Florida, to England’s official World Cup base camp at Swope Soccer Village in Kansas City, Missouri, where Thomas Tuchel’s squad will be stationed for at least the next three weeks.

According to reports from the Daily Mail, England’s backroom staff had meticulously packed all essential training gear for the overland transit from their pre-tournament camp in Florida. The stolen shipment reportedly included tactical analysis equipment, Tuchel’s whiteboards, and player massage tables.

Left reeling by the incident, the England camp now faces a frantic race against time to recover or replace the missing gear before their highly anticipated group-stage opener against Croatia in Dallas.
