Mexico’s national team now has its 26 chosen players for the 2026 World Cup, which kicks off on June 11. In a video narrated by Roberto Gómez Bolaños, the Tricolor revealed the players who will represent the country at soccer’s biggest tournament.
There were no real surprises. As the days went by, Javier Aguirre’s picks for the World Cup had gradually become known, and Mexico will head into the tournament with a blend of youth and experience.
What is the Mexico national team’s average age?
At this World Cup, El Tri will have an average age of 27.9, with only eight players over the age of 30.
The oldest player in the squad is Guillermo Ochoa, who is currently 40 and will be going to his sixth tournament.
Meanwhile, the youngest player on the list is Gilberto Mora, who at 17 has already earned his first World Cup call-up.
