Xavi: LaLiga has not been won yet
Xavi spoke after Barcelona’s defeat to Rayo.
Barcelona boss Xavi Hernández discussed his side’s poor performance against Rayo Vallecano on Wednesday. “We didn’t play well. Rayo are deserved winners,” he said post-match.
“We weren’t comfortable at any point... we have to admit that,” he added after the 2-0 defeat in Vallecas.
Xavi: LaLiga not over
When speaking about the LaLiga title, Xavi said: “We have to think about Saturday. The message to the players is that the league has not been won. Defeat weighs on us and annoys us. Today we failed and we leave annoyed because it was a very good opportunity.
“Against Atlético we were very good and today we were bad. It’s a pity. Against Atlético there were some brilliant moments but today we weren’t good and they beat us fairly”.
Barcelona 11 clear
Barcelona remain 11 points clear at the top of the LaLiga table despite their loss to Rayo, who won thanks to goals from Álvaro García and Fran García either side of half-time.
